Missions
What Is Missions?
Before the Lord Jesus Christ ascended to Heaven, he commissioned his church to carry the gospel to every nation. He was clear that the church was the instrument that would be used by Him to teach all nations, baptizing them, and teaching them to observe all of His commandments
.The Great Commission is found in Matthew 28:19–20 as written, “Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.“
Calvary Baptist Church keeps as a core principal the training, supporting and sending of missionaries.
Since 1960 our church has supported missionaries on every continent, many U.S. states, and many islands. Our first missionaries were the Steffey’s to the Philippine Islands. We currently support missionaries in many far reaching lands, including places like Ukraine, Sao Tome and Principe, and the islands of Indonesia.
Missions is a regular part of the daily life of our church. We regularly have guest missionaries speak from our pulpit. We conduct an annual Faith Promise missions conference and we host the Church Planting & Home Missions Conference every year following the Thanksgiving holiday weekend.
We actively support missionaries and church planters at home and abroad.
Supported in the Regions Beyond
At Calvary Baptist Church, we understand the importance and eternal impact of missions and church planting around the world. Our church actively supports Baptist missionaries around the world, as they minister the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ. Our church regularly gives to missionaries on the foreign field through Faith Promise giving. We renew that commitment annually by promoting the Faith Promise program.

Our church regularly gives to missionaries on the foreign field through Faith Promise giving. We renew that commitment annually by promoting the Faith Promise program.
